Welcome Ashley Burkhardt to the Slugger clubhouse!!!  The Slugger organization teamed up with Purdue University Graduate and former pro softball athlete Ashley Burkhardt at the Slugger clubhouse in Ft. Wayne today (Saturday).  We opened our doors to her experience and knowledge to team up with her to host a player clinic right here in Ft. Wayne at our Slugger clubhouse.  Ashley has a thriving business in the South Bend area that specializes in player development.   The community as well as the Slugger family greeted her with open arms and an outpouring of support with close to 70 players total in attendance today. Each player in attendance was not only able to take part in a rigerous training session comprised of the latest college and professional training methods but they were also afforded a rare opportunity interact one on one with Ashley as well as 3 current college players and a local college coach who joined today's event to support Ashley with the large number of players in attendance.  Each of the two sessions were followed by a special VIP session with Ashley and crew of local talent.  Those players that stayed were able to take advantage of the VIP session focusing on the mental side of the game followed by a Q & A with Ashley and her team of coaches.  A fun and informative time was had by all with many good questions being answered.  Stop back in the future and check the Slugger home page for future highly anticipated player clinics, grab a friend and take part in up-coming events when Ashley returns to the Slugger clubhouse for future player clinics that are open to the public.
